As always, our Union's priorities in contract negotiations come from our members. This year, over 1,400 RI Hospital UNAP members took the Contract 2011 survey and several hundred attended membership meetings. Based on all this feedback, here are our priorities:
- Provide fair pay raises
- Protect our health and retirement benefits
- Protect our job security
- Patient safety and quality care
- Improve employee morale
- Improve staffing levels and other working conditions
It is our sincere hope that RI Hospital will approach these negotiations as an opportunity to work with its employees to make our hospital the very best it can be -- for our staff and our patients.
